The Mine Manager role is based in Granite Falls, WA and reports directly to the Aggregates Operations Manager.

Key Targets of the Role

  • Overall cost responsibility for all activities at Cadman’s Granite Falls location.

What you’ll get to do

  • Maintain site safety programs including compliance with all Federal regulations (MSHA part 46) and State regulations, all training records, safety meetings and established safety procedures.

  • Proactively manage safety and the health of employees to continuously improve the company’s safety and health performance.

  • Overall cost, production, quality and maintenance activities including the achievement of business strategic plans.

  • Plan, schedule and direct mining and processing of aggregates to exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers.

  • Maintain site environmental compliance through design and maintenance of mitigation facilities and equipment, to include testing, spill response and awareness training

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and permit requirements

  • Plan and implement reclamation as required by Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, completion of required training, and monitoring compliance.

  • Develop and train employees for succession management planning

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience

  • 6-8 years quarry, mining, aggregate, construction or heavy manufacturing as well as budgeting, cost management, equipment operation and processing methods.

  • Proven leadership, communications, community relations and problem solving skills and abilities, familiarity with state and federal regulations, knowledge of plant and equipment operation and utilization

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
