With our diverse product lines and locations across North America, there are opportunities to explore different roles and work on a variety of exciting and interesting projects.

The Digital Portfolio Senior Manager (Hybrid) role is based in Irving Texas, and reports directly to the Digital Director.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Align Digital NAM demand process to Group demand process with hyper focus on business case articulation to set specific demands and clearly defined scope that can be more easily refined, prioritized, backlogged, or dismissed. Boost the likelihood of succcess at the start.

  • Coach senior business leaders and Digital teammembers on how to shape business cases to increase odds to be accepted within the demand processes, new feature requests, etc.; help determine where/how they can measure success leveraging existing IT systems or business KPIs already being tracked.

  • Create a holistic view of all high-value and strategic projects (both customer and business facing). Create more visibility into the high-value project portfolio including resourcing. Result: we have higher visibility on strategic projects (e.g., M&As, customer-facing technology rollouts, data center migration project)

  • Set the Digital NAM's team "way of working" inside shared systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, and others) in a common and consistent way so value, prioritization, and workload allocation is apparent to individuals and team leaders in equal transparency; build out the understanding, capability, and appreciation within the Digital NAM team to work in this way together. Support someone on your team to execute this successfully and swiftly.

  • Support high-performing IT Project Managers both within your team and on other Digital NAM teams toward project success – coach, advise, guide, teach, and enable them to increase the odds of success. Expectation going forward is digital projects are equally high-quality, stable, and secure AND create value for internal and/or external customers tangibly and visibly. Foster this obsession and ability within all Project Managers. Embed people-centric and value-centric tactics into all key projects in the portfolio. Care and insight for good change and project management components equally in the design and execution of projects led by Digital NAM.

  • Ideate, gather and articulate tangible business and customer value outcomes from competency centers, business regions, etc. that best articulate how digital delivery enabled business and customer value to then shareback with the business (e.g., share these with VP Digital, Region Presidents, VPGMs, and VPFs so they can showcase the value inside their QMMs, Business Reviews, and other management cycle forums)

  • Represent the delivery of key strategic projects in multiple forums; especially to senior business leaders and operations leaders who will want to under the process, the impact, the timeline, the risks, and the benefits in clear and succinct terms.

*How You are Known by Others *

  • High empathy, humility, and team orientation (think we first not me first)

  • Business savvy and financially astute (hyper-focused with business and customer value creation; not just digital solutions for the sake of being digital)

  • Influential (can assertively and respectfully influence others to help you)

  • Analytical, curious, and critical thinking (strong desire to "dig into the data“ and figure the details out)

  • Servant leadership mentality (obsessed with finding stories and tangible evidence that our business operations can get credit for/look good to their bosses; want to make others "shine" and not yourself)

Experience and Expertise

  • University degree required.

  • 7+ Years required; 12+ Years preferred.

  • 4+ Years of leading full-cycle projects preferred. Beyond a cutover, a go-live and maintenance phase but fully extracted financial value as a result of digital deployments in your career.

  • Financial coursework and expertise; knowing how to translate digital into tangible business value a big plus.

  • Change management certification a plus.

  • Demonstrated a keen eye for risk and risk mitigation strategies that includes budget, timeline and scope and other elements that can cause digital delivery to fall short (e.g., sponsorship, resources, confusion, resistance).
