Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Aggregate Dispatcher to join our local team. The Aggregate Dispatcher is responsible for accurate, timely, and cost-effective dispatching of deliveries throughout Saskatoon, order processing and customer service/support, along with identifying customers who present potential growth opportunities.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Receiving and processing aggregate delivery orders and payments

  • Liaising with trucking contractors for efficient scheduling of aggregate orders and to ensure on-time delivery

  • Generate scale tickets for loaded vehicles in accordance with established policy

  • Enter Purchase Orders, addresses, vehicle, customer, and other required information accurately

  • Prepare end of day reports, pre-authorize credit cards and balance debit/credit purchases

  • Notify customers coming into the yard of safety hazards or yard policies where applicable

  • Communicate general product descriptions, availability, and location to customers upon request

  • Liaise with management when necessary regarding any Yard, Inventory or Customer concerns

  • Answer phones and offer assistance to drop-in customers

  • Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 yr. degree preferred

  • Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situations

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand and lift boxes occasionally
