Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Part - Time Quality Control Technician to join our team in beautiful Sechelt British Columbia.
What you'll get to do:
Have an active role in site health and safety
Sample and test raw materials and finished aggregate products according to ASTM and CSA standards
Input process control for the sand production process based on sample test results
Communicate test results to site management and the product distribution team
Provide technical services for the production and maintenance teams
Work in a CCIL certified aggregates laboratory
Calibrate and maintain testing tools and equipment
Participate in process improvements and troubleshooting of quality issues
Who we are looking for:
Post-secondary education in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field, or 2 years work experience in a production environment
Demonstrated mathematics and analytical skills
Product quality control experience and familiarity with ASTM and CSA standards is an asset
Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including different shifts and overtime when needed
Valid Class 5 drivers license
