What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize plant operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble

  • Lubricate bearings, change parts, or perform other routine crusher, screen and conveyor maintenance

  • Perform repair and maintenance involving inspection, disassembly, overhaul, assembly and adjustments of crushing and screening equipment

  • Start crushers, screens and conveyors to observe mechanical operation and detect problems

  • Maintain safe access of plant area from product spillage with shovels and hoses

  • Inspect or test failed machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs

  • Grease bearings in crushing plant according to specified procedures

  • Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, rollers, motors, belts and belt clips etc.

  • Make repairs to crushers, screens, mechanical feeders, and conveyors

  • Operate Haul Truck and fill in as Haul Truck Operator as needed

  • Train to operate the production plant and fill in as back up Plant Operator

What Are We Looking For

  • Flexibility to work in various conditions and environments.

  • Individual with a strong safety attitude interested in an outdoor work environment

  • Available to work 10-12 hr shifts and Saturdays during crushing season required

  • Stick welding and cutting torch experience a plus

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a loader or other plant equipment

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

  • FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
